LeBron James’ movie has release date, Twitter had jokes


LeBron James is teaming up with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler to create Space Jam 2, and the new Laker will star in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The long wait is over for fans of “Space Jam”… because we now know when “Space Jam 2” will hit theaters — July 16, 2021.


That announcement was made Thursday night and Entertainment Weekly has more details:

After years of rumors and discussion, “Space Jam 2” is officially a go with LeBron James starring, Terence Nance directing, and Ryan Coogler of “Black Panther” producing. It has all the makings of a potential All-Star team — and yet they still have to fill out the roster.

LeBron confirmed during All-Star Weekend that the movie would be happening, but it became official when SpringHill Entertainment tweeted this Thursday night:
