Bradley Cooper surprised fans by joining Lady Gaga at her Las Vegas residency for a duet singing “Shallow” from their movie “A Star is Born.”
Lady Gaga now has a piece of Ally wherever she goes.
Just days after taking home a Grammy for best pop duo performance on “Shallow” with Bradley Cooper, the “A Star Is Born” actress debuted two new tattoos on Instagram Thursday.
One is a massive back tattoo of a rose along her spine: “Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to ‘la vie en rose’ by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose.”
The phrase “La Vie en Rose,” which is inked along the rose’s thorny stem, references an Edith Piaf song that Gaga’s character, Ally Maine, performs during the movie. More importantly, it’s the same song Gaga covered at a 2016 fundraiser that convinced Cooper she would be perfect for the role.
Gaga’s second tattoo spells out her name in music notes, which nearly ended in an Ariana Grande-esque disaster.
“Musical crisis averted. Too many tequilas forgot the fifth staff line poor thing,” the singer wrote on Instagram. Thankfully, the musical oversight was easy to fix.
“As a music theory student I’m appalled,” Gaga wrote. “As someone having fun with their friends I’m relieved.”
Gaga is nominated for best actress at the Academy Awards, which takes place Feb. 24. “A Star Is Born” scored eight nods, including best picture.
