Chris Brown was detained in Paris after a woman filed a rape complaint against him.
Another beef is brewing in the music industry.
Singer Chris Brown had some choice words for Offset after the Migos rapper called Brown “lame” for posting a meme of fellow rapper 21 Savage on Instagram Tuesday.
21 Savage was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Sunday and reportedly faces deportation. When news came out that he’s actually British, memes shortly followed, including a video Brown shared.
“CMON FAM, STOP PLAYING WIT DA MANS DEM,” he captioned an edited video of 21 Savage rapping with a British accent. Offset didn’t find Brown’s post amusing: “Memes ain’t funny lame.”
In return, Brown unleashed an explicit series of insults at Offset, even challenging him to physical blows: “IF YOU A REAL MAN FIGHT ME.”
The “Undecided” singer called Offset a “LIL BOY” and “SENSITIVE,” accusing him of starting the beef to gain popularity instead of calling him personally to address the issue.
“ALL U GOTTA DO IS PULL UP. No camera no flexing and all at,” Brown continued.
The Migos rapper, who shares a daughter with Cardi B, replied on his Instagram story, “Coke head don’t want (smoke),” targeting Brown’s alleged drug use.
The latest rap beef sent the internet into overdrive.
“Chris Brown called Offset Pootytang and I can’t unsee it now,” @ShahadEast tweeted, referencing Louis C.K.’s 2001 comedy “Pootie Tang.”
“Why Chris Brown go off on Offset like that?” @Mamicash_ asked.
User @Camixwami added, “To see Chris Brown and Offset going back and forth is the most random and hilarious thing.”
This is not the first time Brown and the guys from Migos have beefed. In 2017, the rappers’ entourages allegedly got into an altercation at the BET Awards over Karrueche Tran, Brown’s ex who was dating Quavo at the time.
